Imran Khan submits unconditional apology to ECP

The PTI lawyer asked for a new date for next month in the case.

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan submitted an unconditional apology in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) regarding a foreign funding case against the party.

Imran Khan had called the ECP biased in a verdict it had given on January 9 and submitted a petition calling to review the case. The apology was submitted by Imran Khan’s lawyer on Monday.

Chief Election Commissioner Justice (Retd) Sardar Raza told the PTI lawyer to submit a written apology in the court.Expressing his displeasure of the review petition he said, “I curse politics. You alone are enough to spread biasness.”

The ECP resumed hearing the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf case related to foreign funding.

The PTI lawyer asked for a new date for next month in the case, to which the Chief Election Commissioner said “This has been happening for the last two and a half years. Should we stop doing our jobs?”

The ECP demanded details of all foreign funding from the PTI.

The hearing has been adjourned till January 24.
