Imran accuses institutions of trying to safeguard PM

The PTI chairman stresses on the need for Rangers in Sindh and Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday said that his party has done nothing which could delay Panama Leaks case, claiming that these are the institutions trying to safeguard the prime minister.

Speaking to media here, Imran Khan criticised the government for asking the Pakistan International Airlines for a Boeing-777 aircraft for PM's visit to Turkey. "The aircraft will remain in Turkey for two days and his it will cost billions of loss to the national flag carrier."

"It seems that the prime minister doesn't care for taxpayers' money, questioning how could the premier use a bankrupted airline," he added.

Hitting out at Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, he said that 'PML-N members wield batons when they begin losing somewhere'.

"They are losing in the court," Khan claimed, in an obvious reference to Panama Leaks case. "I suspect that they will do something."

"Nawaz Sharif is not used to of playing with neutral umpires," he said, advising, "Time has changed now. Do not dare attack the Supreme Court!"

"After listening to his lawyers, it appears that Pakistan's law can do nothing against Nawaz Sharif. They (PM's counsels) are saying let Nawaz Sharif do corruption and the law should not touch him," the PTI chief stated.

Reiterated that Ishaq Dar himself had confessed to have laundered money out of country, he said, "Today it is proven that the FBR chairman is also corrupt".

Charsadda attack

Condemning the on Charsadda terrorist attack, Imran Khansaid the police repulsed the attack with great courage and once again called for merging FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

"We are proud of the performance of KP Police, he added."

Rangers in Sindh & Punjab

The PTI chairman stressed on the need forRangers in Sindh and Punjab, demanding complete powers for the paramilitary force in Punjab.

"All political parties had agreed on the National Action Plan, but unfortunately it was not implemented in its true spirit," he lamented.

Pakistan Super League

The cricketer-turned-politician further said the entire Pakistan Super League should be held in the country.

"The final of PSL 2017 will be good enough if foreign players come to Pakistan," he said.
