KARACHI: Paramilitary personnel recovered a largecache of arms and weapons buried in Bagh-e-Korangi graveyard in the city Friday morning.
The Rangers said they acted on information from an arrested suspect and searched the graveyard from where they found sub-machine guns, light machine guns, rifles, nine MM pistols and a large number of cartridges.
The suspect is said to be affiliated witha political party.
One such recovery was made earlier in Karachi's Sakhi Hassan graveyard. Rangers, together with intelligence personnel, had reached the graveyard and surrounded it with the help of 15 vehicles. The paramilitary personnel had unearthed a huge cache of arms and ammunition during the siege of the graveyard.
The law-enforcement personnel had also recovered weapons dumped in different areas across the metropolis prior to this action.
