KARACHI: Infamous Lyari gangster Uzair Baloch was in touch with Indian and Iranian intelligence agencies, security sources confided to Geo News on Saturday.

Baloch was rounded up by Rangers on January 30, 2016, from the outskirts of Karachi, while he was atte,pting to sneak into the megapolis. He had fled the country following the launch of an operation in Karachi against criminal elements back in 2013.

According to security sources, there has been a breakthrough in investigations with Uzair Baloch. It has now been revealed that the notorious gangster was involved in spying for foreign intelligence agencies.

Baloch was in contact with Indian and Iranian covert agencies, sources said. The cases involving Baloch will also be forwarded to military court.

Security sources further said the notorious gangster was in contact with Kulbhushan Yadav and involved in anti-state activities.

Yadav, a RAW operative and an on-duty Indian Navy officer, was arrested by Pakistani intelligence agencies from Balochistan in March 2016.

Uzair Baloch will remain in military custody and will also be investigated there, they added.
