Faced incarceration for judiciary independence: Gilani

RAWALAKOT: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani Monday stated that he respects the judiciary and was incarcerated for its independence, Geo News reported.


A group wanted to keep Pakistan People’s Party away from coming into power and today’s Pakistan was stronger because of nuclear power, he said.

He was addressing the inaugural ceremony of Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayad Al-Nayhan Hospital in Rawlakot, financed by United Arab Emirates for the earthquake affected people.

Referring to Kashmir, Gilani said that this issue is crucial in the foreign policy of Pakistan.

He was optimistic that PPP would win the next general election.
