Two fire tenders managed to put the inferno off. Such incidents in the same area have happened before, when, for instance, people living in the shacks would leave a stove on.

However, it has not yet been ascertained what ignited the Friday morning fire.

On the other hand, fire erupted in the basement of a 72-apartment building in Hadi Market. Initial investigation suggested fire broke out due to a short-circuit in the basement.

The fire erupted in agodown in the basement, which belonged to a shopkeeper who had stored edibles and children's clothing for his shop.
