Italian fashion giant Dolce & Gabbana in collaboration with Smeg has launched a vividly colourful series of kitchenware, which looks almost like something a desi Pakistani truck artist would have created.

While the company says the electronic appliances are inspired by Sicily and its pretty landscapes, we can't help but think of our attention-grabbing, world-famous truck art.

The new line, dubbed 'Sicily is my Love', is a tribute to the company's "spiritual home," and has beautiful, culturally-inspired, floral patterns that go around the entire product, alongside painted faces, fruits, various sceneries, etc. It comprises a blender, toaster, coffee machine, stand mixer, citrus juicer, among others, all of which sport the hallmark 'Made in Italy' signage.

Interestingly, this is not the first time the fashion giant has come up with bright designs that resemble closely to truck art.

In 2015, D&G launched #DGBeautyOnTheGO, a project that featured a vehicle with asimilar design to promote their cosmetic products.

If the claim is a stretch, then you need to take a closer look at our local truck art.
