ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Foreign Office on Thursday condemned the deadly shooting in Paris in which 12 people were killed.

Hooded gunmen stormed the Paris offices of a satirical on Wednesday, killing at least 12 people in the most deadly militant attack on French soil in decades.

During the weekly Foreign Office news briefing, spokesperson Tasneem Aslam said Pakistan’s stance on blasphemous material was clear, emphasising that religions and beliefs should be respected.

The spokesperson also answered questions pertaining to Indian claims of the ‘terror boat’ from Pakistan stating that New Delhi had no proof to substantiate this claim.

Aslam added that India had not made any diplomatic contact with Pakistan over this issue. According to the spokesperson officials were investigating if any Pakistani fishing ship had gone missing during this time.

Tasneem Aslam also made it clear that Pakistan could not be engaged in any sort of tension at the Working Boundary as Operation Zarb-e-Azb was underway to eliminate terrorists.
