The PTI chief says his party would take to streets if the PM tried to contain media freedom

QUETTA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has warned the government against imposition of curbs on media and social media.

The PTI chief said that his party will not allow the government to suppress the voice of the people in any case.

The statement was made during his address with participants of a PTI rally at Quetta's Ayub Stadium on Friday.

He accused the prime minister of trying to impose restrictions on social media through Federal Investigation Agency (FIA).

The PTI chief warned of taking to streets if the PM tried to contain freedom of media or social media.

Criticising the government further, Khan said the youth affiliated with his party have done nothing wrong.

"Don't you lay hands on our social media activists," he asked the authorities.
