ISLAMABAD: A letter of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has revealed that the SBP deputy governor received a WhatsApp call on April 27 regarding the Panama Leaks probe.

Sources said the caller identified himself as the Supreme Court registrar and directed the SBP official to include the name of Amir Aziz in the list of persons to be recommended for the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the high-profile case.

The JIT was formed by the Supreme Court in its April 20 verdict in the Panama Papers case to probe the global financial dealings of the prime minister's family.
