Robbers steal 'important' documents from PTI senator's house

Shibli Faraz claimed that the government has resorted to cheap tactics

ISLAMABAD: In a bizarre incident of robbery, burglars broke into Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Senator Shibli Faraz's residence and stole 'important' documents.

The PTI leader, speaking to the media, said that the burglary took place at his father's house, which was vacant at the time of the break-in.

Faraz said that the robbers stole important documents, which included Ahmed Faraz Trust papers, letters, property papers and tax returns.

He alleged that the government has resorted to cheap tactics and state institutions are being used in such instances.

Faraz said that the purpose was to find documents which would help in blaming him and the PTI.

He added that police visited his house after they were informed of the incident.

The PTI leader said that he would later review in detail which particular documents were stolen.
