LAHORE: Police killed four alleged dacoits in an encounter in Lahore`s Shadman area in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to sources, Punjab Police received an emergency ‘15’ phone call made by area security guard, informing that four dacoits broke into a house with intention to rob, in Lahore’s posh area Shadman.
Police immediately responded to the complaint and after a heavy exchange of fire, police gunned down all four dacoits.
Police said, after receiving the phone call, they effectively responded and cordoned off the surroundings of the house where four dacoits were present. Their appeals made to the bandits to surrender were met with firing in response, in retaliatory fire police managed to kill all the dacoits.
