ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (Fazl) (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman has stated that his party has submitted an application to sit on opposition benches in the parliament, Geo News reported on Monday.

Talking to mediamen outside the parliament here, Fazlur Rehman asserted that JUI-F is firm on its stance to quit the government.

He further said that JUI-F parliamentary secretary Ajmal Khattak had also tendered his resignation.

JUI-F Chief informed that party’s central executive body meeting had been convened on Dec 22.
