BIRMINGHAM: Raja Javed Iqbal –the Secretary General of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) UK – on Monday commented on the ouster of Nawaz Sharif as Prime Minister of Pakistan.
Iqbal, during a press conference held here on Monday, noted that Nawaz Sharif was punished for emphasising on Pakistan's prestige on a global level. The politician added that the former Premier "remains in our hearts".
On the other hand, another official of PML-N in Bradford commented that despite Sharif losing power, he remains in the hearts of his loyalists.
The party representative added that ex-PM obeyed the Supreme Court's decision in the greater interest of the public. "We respect the Court, but we will not back down from our stance," he said.
The official went on to stress that the party intends to celebrate the decision "very soon"when they will see how the "lesser politicians take the Court's ruling".
