Rain turns weather pleasant in Islamabad, Rawalpindi

Rain and thundershowers with strong gusty winds are expected at a number of places in upper Punjab

ISLAMABAD: Weather turned pleasant in Islamabad and Rawalpindi as twin cities received rain in the wee hours of Wednesday.

Heavy downpour with gusty winds was reported in different parts of the country including Islamabad and Rawalpindi.

Monsoon currents are penetrating in upper and central parts of the country, the Pakistan Meteorological Department forecasted.

Rain and thundershowers with strong gusty winds are expected at a number of places in upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, Faisalabad divisions)

Past weather

Rain and dust-thundershowers with gusty winds occurred at scattered places in Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sargodha, D.G Khan, Malakand, Hazara, D.I. Khan, Quetta divisions, Islamabad, while at isolated places in Kohat, Bahawalpur, Hyderabad divisions, and Kashmir.
