Police arrest 9 suspects in raids carried out in different areas of the metropolis

KARACHI: A man shot to death his grandson as a domestic dispute turned deadly in the city’s Landhi area on Wednesday, Geo News reported.

The firing incident also injured the man’s granddaughter, daughter-in-law and his own son.

Meanwhile, at least nine suspects including a terrorist were arrested after police conducted overnight raids in the metropolis.

The raids were carried out in different areas of Karachi including Manghopir, Sakhan, Abbas Town and Garden.

At least two suspects were arrested from Sakhan area and arms and drugs were recovered from them, police said. The suspects were allegedly involved in street crimes and drug dealing.

During a raid in Manghopir, police detained at least two suspects and recovered weapons as well as a stolen motorcycle.

In Garden area, police were able to apprehend four suspects involved in street crimes, robbery and drug dealing. Police also recovered arms and drugs from the arrested suspects.

According to SSP Malir, during a search operation in Abbas Town early Wednesday, police got hold of a terrorist during the raid.

The wanted terrorist, identified as Anwar Suleman aka 'Anu', was wanted for four cases including terrorism.
