Final round of Independence Day Cup today

KARACHI: Golfers participating in the Independence Day Cup are wearing green and white today — the tournament's final round — in light of the country's Independence Day tomorrow.

The tournament is being held at the DHA Golf and Country Club.

So far, last year's champion Shabbir Iqbal leads the way with a score of 139 at five-under-par while Mohammad Munir and Matloob Ahmed are on numbers two and three.

Four hundred golfers to participate in Independence Day Cup

Tournament will start from tomorrow, August 10 and end on August 13

Course Captain Zahid Iqbal said players are wearing white and green to celebrate the country’s Independence Day.

Around four hundred golfers were expected to take part in the event.

A prize distribution ceremony will be held once the tournament is complete today.
