Celebrations begin marking Pakistan's 70th birthday
LAHORE: The 71st Independence Day was celebrated with great zeal and fervour at the Wagah border on Monday evening as part of the flag-lowering ceremony.
A smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Rangers performed a walk past in front of the charged-up crowd before coming to stop at the border gate, facing their Indian counterparts.
The venue echoed with patriotic slogans and loud cheers from the crowd.
Another contingent of Rangers in their dress uniforms, performed another march past to the tune of the military band present.
Earlier today, Pakistan Rangers were presented with sweets from the Border Security Force (BSF) of India.
