LAHORE: A man was seriously injured after a policeman allegedly pushed him off of a road adjacent to an underpass here early Tuesday, Geo News reported.

According to the injured man’s family, Zohaib was travelling with his friends when a policeman allegedly stopped the car and demanded a bribe. Upon refusal, he pushed the man off the road — seriously injuring him in the process.

The family of the injured man, who was shifted to Jinnah Hospital, made an appeal for justice to the Punjab chief minister and senior police officials.

“An investigation into the incident is under way,” SP Model Town Division Hunain Haider told Geo News.
