Nation celebrating 134th birth anniversary of Quaid

ISLAMABAD: The entire nation is celebrating the 134th birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah with great enthusiasm and national spirit.

The day would be celebrated with the a pledge to transform Pakistan into a vibrant, progressive and enlightened country as envisioned by the great leader as well as to follow his principals "Unity, Faith and Discipline".

The day will dawn with special prayers in mosques for the soul of the Quaid-i-Azam and progress and unity of the country while the national flag will be hoisted at all government buildings and semi government buildings.

Various seminars and conferences would be organized throughout the country to highlight the services of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in achieving Independence of Pakistan.

In Karachi, the city of Quaid, government officials and representatives of the Armed Forces would lay floral wreaths at the mausoleum of the Quaid in the morning on behalf of their services and would offer Fateha.

Various educational institutions would organize programs in order to keep the new generation abreast with the ideology of Pakistan, the struggle led by Quaid-e-Azam to have a separate homeland for Muslims, Allama Iqbal`s concept of Pakistan and political struggle by Pakistan Muslim League.

Newspapers would bring out special supplements highlighting the life and achievements of Quaid-e-Azam. PTV will telecast several programmes to highlight the achievements and leadership characteristics of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

Numbers of political, social, cultural and educational institutions, parties and organisations will also arrange various programmes to mark the occasion in a befitting manner. The birth anniversary of the Quaid will be marked with reiteration of the pledge to sacrifice lives for sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country.
