The second day of a three-day conference of Pakistani envoys kicked-off on Wednesday at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad.

According to media reports, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi participated in the conference via video link.Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif is chairing today's session of the conference.

The envoy conference is being held to deliberate on key foreign policy issues following US President Donald Trump’s new Afghan policy, Kashmir and regional situation.

Asif addressed the inaugural session of the conference on Tuesday.

Envoys in various countries, including the United States, Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Afghanistan, Iran, and India are participating in the conference.

Prime Minister Shahid Khawan Abbasi will chair theconcluding session of the conference.

Speaking at the conference on Tuesday, Asif reiterated Pakistan's stance that there is no military solution to the Afghan conflict.

The foreign minister also insisted on the need to highlight continuing human rights violations in Indian occupied Kashmir on all available international platforms.

At the meeting, the foreign minister also sought recommendations from the envoys present at the meeting regarding the prevailing geo-political situation.
