Local body by-elections in KP’s 18 districts underway

The by-elections are being held for 56 vacant seats of village and neighbourhood councils

PESHAWAR: Polling for local body by-elections started early on Wednesday in 18 districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the by-elections are being held for 56 vacant seats of village and neighbourhood councils. Polls will be held for seats for 30 nazims and 26 naib nazims in eight village and neighborhood councils.

The ECP said that 23 returning officers has been appointed for by-election.
