RAWALPINDI: Army command on Thursday appointedLieutenant General Asim Saleem Bajwa as the new commander of Southern Command, said a statement by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
The current commander of Southern Command,Lieutenant General Aamer Riaz, was appointedCommander Lahore Corps.
Lieutenant General Sadiq Ali was appointed Inspector General Arms at the General Head Quarters.
