‘Dream Girl’ Hema Malini passes on her title to Deepika

Bollywood’s Dream Girl Hema Malini passed on her title to Deepika Padukone and called her the "Dream Girl of today's age" at the launch of her biography.

The biography of Hema Malini was launched at a hotel in Mumbai on her 69th birthday. The book was launched by Deepika Padukone.

Sholay star remarked that she was very happy to have Deepika unveil the biography as she is personally fond of her, according to Indian media.

When asked who would Hema call the Dream Girl of contemporary times, she instantly responded that “Deepika Padukone deserves the tag of Dream Girl."

The biography, titled Beyond the Dream Girl, has been penned down by veteran journalist Ram Kamal Mukherjee and features a forward written by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
