KARACHI: Police arrested 19 suspects following raids carried out in various areas of the metropolisMonday night, Geo News reported.
12 suspects were taken into custody during a search operation in Saeedabad's Gulshan-e-Mazdoor area late night, Asif Razzak — the Superintendent of Police (SP) for Baldia Town — said.
The police officer explained that the detainees are being questioned right now.
Seven other suspects were rounded up during a raid in Orangi Town Monday night, police sources stated, adding that weapons were recovered from the arrestees.
Authorities revealed that the detainees are accused of involvement in cases of robbery and encroachment.
