ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is holding meeting with various party leaders, governmentofficials and allies at Punjab House.

After arriving back at the Punjab House from the accountability court hearing, the Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) president held meetings with Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party chief Mahmud Khan Achakzai.

Others that are involved in the consultations include National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, PML-N Chairman Senator Raja Zafarul Haq, Federal Railways Minister Saad Rafique, State Interior Minister Talal Chaudhry, State Power Minister Abid Sher Ali and Senator Jafar Iqbal, among other leaders.

The consultations include talks on the new delimitation bill, that will pave the way for the general elections next year, the ongoing political and legal situation in the country, as well as Nawaz's plans to launch a 'mass mobilisationcampaign'.

Sources said Nawaz will address a public gathering in Abbottabad on November 19, which will be the first of a series of rallies.

However, Nawaz requested today, and was granted, an exemption from appearance request from the accountability court as he has to travel to London to spend time with his ailing wife.

The former premier was disqualified as prime minister on July 28 this year by the Supreme Court in the Panama Papers case.

He is facing three corruption references filed by the National Accountability Bureau in the accountability court.
