Two passengers held for illegally carrying 3kg gold at Karachi airport

KARACHI: Officials of the Pakistan Customs took into custody on Sunday two passengers, who were illegally carrying gold worth more than Rs100 million, from the Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.

Deputy Collector Customs Wasif Malik said that 3kg gold was recovered from the two passengers.

Malik said duty is imposed on carrying gold in considerable quantity and the arrested passengers were carrying it secretly, which is illegal.

A case has been registered against the duo and further investigation is underway.
