Six killed, four injured in Dera Bugti landmine blast, firing

Area resident's two wives, three children killed after gunmen opened fire on them

DERA BUGTI: One person was killed and four injured in a firing incident and landmine explosion in Toba Nohkani area of Dera Bugti Thursday morning.

According to Levies sources, unidentified men opened fire on the house of a man identified as Gujjar. As a result, Gujjar’s two wives and three children were killed on the spot. The suspects managed to flee from the site.

Geo News reported that a vehicle carrying the bodies struck a landmine killing one and injuring four others.

The vehicle was completely destroyed in the landmine blast.

On August 10, 2013, a landmine explosion and subsequent shooting in the restive Dera Bugti Saturday cost the lives of at least two people including a tribal leader and left three more wounded.

According to sources, a local tribal leader Zeray Khan Bugti’s was killed while two of his guards sustained injuries when his vehicle hit a landmine planted in Patokh area.

In a yet another incident of armed violence, unknown gunmen shot one person dead and wounded another seriously in Dera Bugti city.
