DERA MURAD JAMALI: Inspector General Police Balochistan Malik Iqbal has said heinous crimes could be ended in Balochistan by ensuring punishment to influential criminals who had been patronizing criminal mafias in the province.

He said this while talking to newsmen here on Sunday. DIG Sibi-Nasirabad range Syed Qurban Shah, DPO Saadullah Khaitran, Javed Shah, Shehbaz Khan an others were present on this occasion.

Replying to a question, he said presently Balochistan was experiencing frequent incidents of kidnapping for ransom, adding some influential people were involved in such type of heinous crimes.


He said he was visiting different parts of the province on the directives of Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Aslam Raisani to inspect law and order situation there.

He said he had assigned task to police officials to make endeavors to control crime of abduction for ransom.

He agreed to remain in touch with police departments of provinces bordering Balochistan to vigil and control movement of notorious criminals across the provincial borders. He said there was no difference between duties of police and Levies Force.

He said steps were being taken to equip Balochistan Police and Levies Force with latest weapons and vehicles.
