US CG calls for release of Davis

LAHORE: US consul general (CG) in Lahore called for the immediate release of US citizen Raymond Davis held for killing two Pakistanis.

Carmela Conroy, the US CG, insisted in a public statement on Friday night that the American has diplomatic immunity and was acting in self-defense against robbers.

Earlier, Conroy met with Davis at Central Prison, Kot Lakhpat.
