72 outlaws arrested

PESHAWAR: As many as 72 outlaws including five proclaimed offenders (POs) have been arrested and huge cache arms were recovered from their possession by police in parts of provincial capital here on Friday.

SSP Operation Mohammad Ijaz Khan constituted a police raiding party to conduct crackdown against the outlaws after receiving public complaints.

The arrested proclaimed offenders were wanted to police in murder, attempt to murder, dacoity, heroin smuggling etc.

Arms and ammunition including four Kalashnikov, eight pistols, hundreds of rounds of different bore, two kilogram hashish, eight bottles of liquor were seized. The police submitted chalan before courts against the accused.(APP)
