ISLAMABAD: Judicial Commission (JC) has deferred the appointment of two ad hoc judges in Supreme Court, however it extended the services of six additional judges of Sindh High Court for one year, Geo News reported.

The JC meeting headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry met here on Saturday.

The six additional judges of SHC which have been given extension included Justice Imam Bux Baloch, Justice Nisar Muhammad Sheikh, Justice Tasneem, Justice Hassan Azhar Rizvi, Justice Mohammad Ali Mazhar and Justice Salman Hamid.

The meeting dropped three additional judges of SHC.

It may be pertinent to mention here that service period of nine additional judges of SHC ended on Friday.

Approved names would be sent to parliamentary committee for final approval.
