Milan: fashion designers present collections

MILAN: High fashion will be the sole focus in Milan over the next six days, as one of the most important events in the style calendar takes place.

Milan Fashion Week started on Wednesday (February 23rd), with Gucci one of the major names presenting a collection on the opening day.

While only the fashionista elite are allowed to take a seat by the catwalk as models show off the latest garments, travellers in the city do have the chance to view parts of the event.

Huge screens have been set up near the venue so fashion enthusiasts can at least see clothes are on display, even if they cannot properly attend the occasion.

Gucci, Frankie Morello and Emilio Pucci are among the designers whose collections were shown.
