KARACHI:A couple was shot dead Tuesday night in Karachi's Superhighway area.
SSP Malir Adeel Hussain Chandio said Amir and Mukhatiba had run away from their houses and tied the knot around a year ago.
The residents of Orangi Town were going back to their house in a rickshaw after visiting Mukhatiba’s house when they were shot by unknown men, Chandio added.
“Amir was shot in the head while Mukhatiba was shot in her chest and shoulder,” SSP Malir further said.
The SSP Malir added that they are waiting for Amir’s family and did not register a case on the request of Mukhatiba’s family.
Further investigations will be conducted after contact with Amir’s family, the official said.
