KARACHI: A privilege motion was presented before Sindh Assembly over the statement of Pakistan Muslim League-N Leader Chaudhry Nisar and his statement was declared as an insult to the people of Sindh and its assembly members, Geo News reported Monday.
During the Sindh Assembly sessions, Fateha was offered for the people killed in the recent spell of target killings in Karachi while two-minute silence was observed for tens of thousands of deaths caused by the worst Tsunami in Japan.
Imran Leghari on the occasion presented a privilege motion on the statement of Chaudhry Nisar amid slogans ‘shame, shame’.
He accused Chaudhry Nisar of creating a rift between Sindh and Punjab and of attacking the Sindhi culture.
The Speaker then, giving his ruling, handed over the privilege motion to the House Committee.
A resolution presented by Sindh assembly member Khursheed Khokhar was unanimously passed for nominating the slain federal minister for minorities affairs Shahbaz Bhatti for a Nebel Price.
The Sindh assembly session was later prorogued.
