1 dead, 16 injured in Saddar cracker blast

KARACHI: An unknown man was killed and 16 others sustained injuries in a blast that occurred near Rainbow centre here in Saddar are on Thursday night, Geo News reported quoting police sources.

According to SP Saddar Town, the blast was caused by explosion of a cracker.

Police and emergency services reached the blast site immediately after the incident. Eight of the injured were rushed to Jinnah Hospital and four to Civil Hospital while one or two were shifted to private hospitals.

People of all age groups were among the injured.

No major loss to property occurred in the incident, sources said.
