HYDERABAD: The management of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company has launched a massive campaign for the recovery of of Rs 9.5 billion outstanding dues against the private consumers.
According to HESCO spokesman, special recovery teams have been formed, which will be conducting surprise visits in various parts of HESCO region and disconnecting the power supply of the defaulters and recovering outstanding dues from them.
Similarly, illegal connections are also being unearthed with imposition of fine amount upon power thieves, he added.
During recent surprise visits in various parts of Hyderabad, Tando Allahyar, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, Talhar, Mirpurkhas and Kotri, the spokesman informed that the special recovery teams have discontinued 5900 connections of defaulters and recovered Rs. 6.59 million outstanding dues from them.
Besides, the teams also unearthed 2500 illegal connections, seized the used wires and imposed fine upon the defaulters, he added. (APP)
