Rupee gains 63 paisas against dollar

KARACHI: Dollar lost paisas 63 against rupee in the inter bank this week which closed Rs84.22, Geo News reported Saturday.

According to forex dealers, dollar remained under pressure throughout the week and at one stage it was also seen slipping below Rs84.

The main reasons cited for the gain in rupee value are increase in remittances, rise in exports and dollar plummeting to 16 month low against major international currencies of the world.
