Rs60 million worth of fake currency seized in raid at a godown

PESHAWAR: Police on Friday arrested three members of a suspected gang for printing fake Pakistani currency notes.

The suspects were arrested in a raid at a godown here. Police also seized Rs60 million worth of fake currency notes from the site.

According to a police spokesman, the fake notes were in denominations of Rs5,000, Rs1,000 and Rs500.

Efforts are under way to arrest the remaining members of the gang, police said.
