Peshawar police seize Rs60 million worth of fake currency

During a raid three accused were arrested while a money printing money was seized

PESHAWAR: Police raided a warehouse located near Ring Road seized Rs60 million in fake currency.

During a news conference on Friday, SSP Operations Javed Iqbal informed reporters that during the raid at the warehouse a counterfeit money printing machine was also seized, while three accused were arrested.

The police official said the three accused had plans to print an additional Rs90 million in fake currency denomination of Rs5,000, Rs1,000 and Rs500.
