GUJRAT: A man shot dead his cousin Sunday night for spurning his proposal of marriage here in the city'sGuliana neighbourhood, police said, adding that they had arrested him.
According to police,Shehzad Masih of Guliana's Qadir Colony opened fire on hismaternal cousin, Saima Masih, after she declined hisproposal of marriage. The alleged murderer fled afterwards.
Upon the request of the deceased's brother, Shahid Masih, police filed a first information report (FIR) and arrested Shehzad along with his weapon.
An investigation into the case was subsequently opened.
