ISLAMABAD: Five senators of Pakistan Muslim League-Q have submitted applications in the Senate Secretariat for allotment of seats on opposition benches in the upper house, Geo News reported Thursday.

According to sources, Jamal Leghari, Tariq Azeem, Javed Ali Shah, Naeem Hussain Chattha and Gulshan Saeed submitted applications for separate seats in the Senate.

Talking to Geo News senator, Tariq Azeem confirmed the submission of above applications.

“We would continue to remain part of our party but will not joint the government,” he said.

Tariq Azeem said the party leadership did not hold any consultations with him in connection joining the government.
