CS Balochistan assure truck drivers' security

QUETTA: Chief Secretary Balochistan Mir Ahmed Bakhsh Lehri has assured provision truck drivers' security and protection.

According to a statement issued on Thursday, a delegation of Balochistan Goods Truck Transport Companies Association led by their president Noor Ahmed Kakar called on Chief Secretary Balochistan and apprised him about lawlessness on national highways passing through Balochistan.

The delegation expressed its concern over abduction of truck drivers for ransom. They also informed the CS about very poor condition of highways.

The CS Lehri assured the delegation that all out steps would be taken to ensure security and protection to truck drivers.

He said problems faced by transporters of Hazarganji Truck Stand would also be resolved on priority basis.
