SHARJAH: Quetta Gladiators fast bowler Ghulam Mudassar has said skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed’s trust in youngsters is a boost to the players' confidence in the team.

“I don’t have any words to describe him," Mudassar said while speaking to Geo. “I have never seen a more positive man than him [Sarfaraz].”

When asked about his personal goals for Pakistan Super League (PSL), the 19-year-old who hails from a village near Haripur said his aim is to become the best bowler of the tournament.

“PSL has given me a lot of opportunities to learn. Sharing a dressing room with big names and bowling at them has made me learn a lot,” he said. “PSL has matured me as a player."

He also hailed the addition of emerging players in teams as a positive approach.

Mudassar, who was discovered through the Lahore Qalandars' player development programme, said he is confident of performing well in the tournament.

“I have worked hard and hopefully I will achieve the targets I have set for myself,” he said.
