ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan lashed out at Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday, for announcing development packages for Gilgit-Baltistan ahead of the local government elections, terming the act a form of ‘pre-poll rigging’.

The PTI chairman took to social media to criticize the prime minister.

Imran Khan termed the action ‘brazen poll rigging’ and one that was ‘absolutely unacceptable’. He said the PMLN must learn the 'essentials of democracy' which include ‘free and fair elections’.

He alleged that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has not been unable to rise above cronyism and the use of money to buy influence.
