PESHAWAR: Nine persons were killed and several wounded in a fierce clash among the rival tribes in Lower Kurram area.

Sources said that different tribes at Balishkhel and khwarclay Sunday morning started firing at each other positions, resulting in the death of nine persons and several wounded.
Sources further said heavy and automatic weapons were used in the skirmishes.

Local MNA Sajid Toori told Geo News on phone that the extremists were trying to disturb peace in Kurram Agency over a buzz about fresh military operation in tribal areas
