Rain delays first England-Sri Lanka Test

CARDIFF, United Kingdom: Rain delayed the scheduled start of the first Test between England and Sri Lanka at Sophia Gardens here on
Thursday.

The umpires were due to hold an inspection at 10.30am local time (0930GMT), which is when the toss should have been taking place.

This is the first of a three-match series.
