LAHORE: The Commission constituted to investigate into the Abbottabad raid that eliminated Osama bin Laden has been challenged in Lahore High Court (LHC), Geo News reported Thursday.

A local lawyer contended in his petition that the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Opposition leader in National Assembly Chaudhry Nisar, who were required under the constitution and law to be consulted during formation of the commission, were not contacted.

The petitioner prayed the Abbottabad Commission be declared unconstitutional and asked the court to order fresh constitution of the Commission through consultation with the Chief Justice and Opposition Leader which can conduct impartial probe and fix responsibility.
