HYDERABAD: Complete shutter down strike was observed in Resham bazaar, Sarafa bazaar and adjoining markets on Tuesday as a protest against killing of a goldsmith Shakil during firing between two groups at Resham bazaar after the illegal encroachments made by venders were removed by the administration on Monday.

Aqeel Ahmed, brother of deceased, nominated four persons - Rashid, Shan, Faizan and Kamran in FIR alleging that they were notorious extortionist who murdered his 45-year brother and injured three others. The deceased was going to offer prayers when the bullet hit him.

The Sarafa Association demanded arrest of killers and announced closure of business till the killers are taken to task.

The heavy contingents of police were deployed in markets to avert further bloodshed.
