SIALKOT: Two police officers who assaulted and tortured transgender folks here in the city's Phalora area were suspended after a video of the incident surfaced on social media.
The district police officer (DPO) for Sialkot, Mustansar Feroz Awan, took notice of the incident wherein the two police officers had attacked a carnival and assaulted attendees, who included thetransgender folks as well.
Awan further ordered the deputy superintendent of police (DSP) for Pasrur to conduct an inquiry into the incident, which took place some three days ago but the video of which went viral recently.
